Waxing for Men

Why Waxing?

If you have unwanted hair on parts of your body, whether that’s your back, legs, arms, shoulders, chest or any of your intimate body areas, male body waxing is the ideal solution. Male Waxing can improve muscle definition and leave your skin smooth and sexy. Repetitive treatments can help to make the hairs grow back weaker and finer. The number of hairs that grow back might decrease with time as some of the hairs that were removed using the wax will not grow back at all.

How is it done?

Warm Waxing or Strip Waxing is the most popular method for waxing men’s body parts (chest, back legs etc) as it removes hairs quickly and efficiently. I have used Veet warm wax for many years as it has a certain numbing effect on the skin; resulting in a lesser discomfort sensation and a smooth silky skin. The process of waxing involves the area being waxed covered with a thin layer of warm wax using a spatula, and before it cools down I put a strip of fabric on the wax. This is followed with a quick tag on the fabric that pulls and removes the hairs attached to it from the follicles. I apply pressure using my hand on the area waxed; helping to minimise any discomfort sensation. After the treatment is done, I apply a soothing cream that ease most of the remaining discomfort and reducing most of the redness of the waxed skin. I always work on small areas of hair at a time, allowing the client to get used to the sensation of the treatment; I believe that taking the time, making sure the client is comfortable is very important especially with first timers.

Does it hurt?

Most of my clients throughout the years have said that it was by far less painful than they thought it would be. The process is not pain free, however I use the type of wax that minimise the discomfort and I take my time and does not rush the process allowing the client to feel comfortable and relaxed. If the waxing is done every 4-6 weeks the hair will come out with less discomfort; It becomes easier with time.

How often?

Instead of shaving every day, waxing should be repeated only in 4 to 6 weeks and the re-grow is softer, thinner and is not itchy or prickly. Repetitive treatment will help to reduce the discomfort involved in the waxing process, and after a few months of waxing the body gets used to this sensation and it becomes as easy as a walk in the park (for most people).

Who can be waxed?

I wax both men and women, with great results. I provide a professional and discreet environment for men to be waxed, the privacy of my clinic means that no one can know that you have just been waxed. Women are welcome to use my services as well.
